So true your post. And even though the shows were played in larger and larger venues, at its core, i always felt that deadheads were a tight community of people, despite whether they shared the same ideas, opinions or values. When blacklakelight mentioned in an earlier post that he was at the Omni in '88, i admittedly felt a connection with him (both of us "strangers") on some level due to having been at the same show, and shared the same musical experience/journey. Too cool. Many thanks for the post.

See? This is exactly what i'm talking about--I was also at that 1988 Omni show in Atlanta!!!!

How great was that Candyman in the first Set? and the Terrapin in the 2nd? What a great show.
